With the election just 10 days away, we need all the support we can get as we navigate this time as Christians and citizens. We're drawing from the resources of the collective and share them in hopes that they will be of encouragement to you:
Discipleship and Politics: How does one inform the other? Monday, October 28, 6:30 to 8 pm, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, Chapel of St. James. Sr. Ruth Lautt, O.P., Esq and Fr. Scott Gunn will discuss the connection between discipleship and politics. How ought our beliefs as followers of Jesus lead us to take part in the public political landscape? There is wide disagreement among Christians on this topic as some advocate a complete separation of the church from politics, while others advocate a theocratic nation. The panelists will offer possible paths or a middle way between these extremes. Suggested ticket price $15 (with sliding scale). Click here for more info.
