The Saint Peter’s Food Pantry was founded over two decades ago and has been a significant source of support for New York's most vulnerable residents. We also have a dedicated group of volunteers who help make the pantry a truly hospitable place and keep it humming week after week. With the devastating impact that the coronavirus is having on the economy and those already struggling financially, the need for food pantries is more important than ever. We provide services for individuals without regard to any religious affiliation and although we request referrals, we provide food for anyone requesting our services.
How do I make a monetary donation? We welcome donations online here. Checks or money orders can be made payable to St. Peter’s Food Pantry and sent to our mailing address: 346 W. 20th Street, New York, NY 10011. Upon request, the Program Director will send donors and thank you which can be used as documentation when filing ones taxes.
I am interested in hosting a food drive, who should I contact? You can contact Alice Blount-Fenney, Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am interested in becoming a volunteer, what are the procedures for signing-up. Are any special skills needed? There are sign-up sheets for volunteers in the parish office. You are also welcomed to contact Alice Blount-Fenney for orientation. Our volunteers are a valuable source for our program’s clients. We recruit individuals with great people skills and a dedication to public service.
What days and hours is the Food Pantry open? The Food Pantry is open on Saturdays from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM.
